Andrea gazed with wonder and bemusement at the stuffed toy perched on her desk. She was pretty sure that it was from Aaron. Only he was crazy enough to send her such a bizarre gift. She realized that it was supposed to be some animal, but for the life of her couldn’t fathom which.
The bloody thing was both cute and grotesque at the same time. Its auburn fur was in shocking contrast to her all-blue work station.
“Aaron, you moron!” She thought. “What the hell could I do with this damn thing?”
Her subordinate Mason passed her by.
“Wow! That’s a nice little gift. Is it from Aaron?”
“Yeah!” Andrea replied grumpily. “I wanted an iPhone 78 and he gifts me this bag of fur. I don’t even know what the hell it is supposed to be. Bloody animals! Glad they don’t exist.”
“But I think it’s a lovely gift, Ma’am. Extremely thoughtful I should say.”
“Mason, do me a favor and get rid of this. I don’t think Aaron understands me afterall!”
Mason smiled wryly.
“It’s your call, Miss Fox”

Good story Varad. A shame that Ms Fox is oblivious to everything except probably money and materials.

Dystopia… Very unpleasant… Lets work towards never coming to that.

Personally I’m with Andrea. A stuffed animal is a ghastly gift.

It was just a stuffed toy, CE. Foxes were extinct then.

Probably because they had all been stuffed!

I’d prefer a world where animals existed and iPhones became extinct! Nice one Varad.

What a sad thought that in the future they don’t even know what foxes are. That said, it’s even sadder that she didn’t even think to do whatever the future version of “Google it” is! I’m making a snap judgement call, that she’s too stupid to deserve someone like Aaron.

You are bang on the mark, Joy. Miss Fox definitely didn’t deserve Aaron.

I think it’s Andrea that doesn’t have a clue. I’m betting animals, and foxes, will be around long after we’ve managed to make ourselves extinct.

I sure hope that’s the case, Iain.

Maybe he should have sent her a link to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PVjcIO4MT4 “Foxy Lady”.

James, I should thank you for reminding me of yet another classic. Though I’m not sure that YouTube exists during the times of iPhone 78 😉

Oh, probably some form of video streaming will exist in the future and hopefully Jimi Hendrix will be included.

It would indeed be a sad world if they didn’t know who Jimi was. All along the watchtower is one of my all-time favorites. Both the Dylan version and Jimi’s.
