She stood by me when I had hit rock-bottom. She held my hand through the horrible withdrawal symptoms.

An ache to see her smile made me quit cold-turkey.

I felt great, in absolute control and in love again with life.

All stayed well for less than twenty-four hours.

Her call goes to voicemail as I plunge the needle deep into my vein.
