She trembled as his fingers trailed a lazy path through the contours of her sweat-sheened body.

‘Are you ready, my love?’ His index finger flicked her nipple. He smiled devilishly as she shuddered.

‘I’ve been waiting for far too long.’

The finger circled her navel, ‘Scared?’

‘Yes. How can I not be?’

His wicked finger traveled further down, ‘Baby, it’s time. I love you. Do you love me?’

She bit her lips to stifle a scream, ‘Yes, yes, yes! I do! I love you.’

‘Alright then! Meet me this Sunday at the Railway Station. We’ll elope to Mumbai. I have many friends there. They’ll help us.’

‘But my husband…’ He kissed her protest into submission, ‘Darling, trust me. He doesn’t love you, and neither you, him. This is meant to be. We are meant to be.’

She smiled a shy smile, ‘Alright! Sunday, then.’

He stopped his ministrations suddenly and peered deep into her eyes, ‘Baby, don’t forget to get your jewels and money. We need something to start our lives together with. I want to give you a life befitting a Queen.’

She nodded and closed her eyes.

He smiled. It was just too easy.

That Saturday

‘One ticket to Delhi, please!’

She collected her ticket and walked with purpose towards the platform. The cash and jewels were safe in her backpack.

She didn’t need him, or him.

  1. You have pulled it off, nicely done. She outsmarted the conman but there is a backstory there about the husband. Is he is an innocent victim or not? Wonder if she is travelling via agra (sorry just couldn’t help throwing that in).
I am glad you are getting support, my a2z challenge seems like me talking to myself.

  2. Your endings are something really unpredictable. Loving that aspect. Just when I was thinking, either her husband will discover or she will be cheated by her lover, she played her card. Nice.

  3. Thank god she didn’t go with that rascal!! How men play such games with ease! Don’t mean to generalize here, but it’s mostly the men who have the evil minds, don’t they? Okay, some women do, too! 😅

Really liked how you narrated the scene, Varad.

    1. Can’t always let the bad people win. Otherwise there would be no hope left in the world. Thanks for the comment, Sayeri.

    1. Thanks, Gary. After writing a while I’ve realized the two genres that are tough to write are erotica and humor. There’s a fine line dividing finesse and crass in both. Glad I managed to stay on the better side.

      1. There is indeed a fine line. That said erotica does have a market. 50 Shades proves that, but it’s not my style really. Innuendo I am better with. So far I’d say you are on the money!

        1. Same here. I have not been able to go past 50 pages in the first 50 shades. But there are a lot of other books which have handled passion, romance and even hardcore sex in a tasteful way. Thanks for your comment. Much appreciated. 🙂

          1. That’s 50 pages more than me! As a piece of writing, it didn’t do anything for me at all so I never bothered progressing. TBR pile is too big to waste time 😊
