The luxury liner cruised serenely on the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean. The deck was filled with an eclectic mix of people enjoying their holidays and reveling in their wealth.
‘Ah! This is the life, isn’t it?’ Sumeet scooped a mouthful of $200 caviar and washed it with a large swig of $1000 Krug Clos du Mesnil champagne.
‘mm..hmm!’ Sheena, his brand new bride, was lost in her thoughts.
‘Sheena, you should try this caviar. It’s just ridonculous; both price and taste.’
‘Look at the setting Sun, Sumeet. The beautiful blue waters bathed in its orange glow, isn’t it breathtaking?’ Sheena flipped her hair back and tilted her head up. The corners of her mouth curved upwards in a serene smile.
‘Yeah. Hey, just hold that pose. I’ll grab a picture. You look damn sexy!’ Sumeet whipped out his Pentax 645Z and clicked a few pictures.
‘Sumeet, this tranquil setting reminds me of a poem. Do you want to hear it?’
‘Uh! Huh!’
‘It is a beauteous evening, calm and free,
The holy time is quiet as a Nun
Breathless with adoration; the broad sun
Is sinking down in its tranquility…’
‘Hey, babe. Let’s dance. The DJ is playing Despacito.’

They seem happy but how long will this happiness last? but then at times opposites attract and are cohesive. A good story from your pen, Varad.

Just give me tuna fish…and I’m happy.
I don’t need caviar.
Sometimes simple is best. Well most of the time, maybe…
